Sustainability is more than just a buzzword at SALESIANER. It is the very basis on which our success, both in business and the wider society, is built.

As an internationally active, family-owned company and a leading provider of textile-related services, we know that our business has a noticeable effect on the environment and society as a whole, which is why SALESIANER attaches great importance to sustainability. This is evidenced, for example, by the fact that it is a long-standing partner of the klimaaktiv project, that it is the first Austrian company to achieve the eco-label for rental textiles, and that it has been awarded a renowned state prize for textile recycling.
We are committed to sustainable corporate development, pursuing a strategy here that enables us to improve our sustainability efforts, and thus our contribution to safeguarding a liveable world, on an ongoing basis. To do this, we have set ourselves a number of short-term, medium-term and long-term goals in our four areas of strategic focus:
Economic sustainability:
We safeguard SALESIANER’s commercial success for generations to come.
Environmental sustainability:
We make an active and meaningful contribution to conservation and climate mitigation action.
Social sustainability:
We take seriously our responsibility towards our employees, customers, suppliers and the wider community.
Legal and ethical sustainability:
Our actions are always in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations – setting higher standards in places where required by our values.
With this report, we want to make transparent the successes we have already achieved and the challenges we still face.
The sustainability report was prepared in accordance with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS). A summary gives you an overview of the social, ecological and economic impact of our company.

We are aware of our responsibility to ensure that no human rights violations take place any where along our supply chain, which is why we fully support the Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work compiled by the International Labour Organisation, as well as compliance with the UN’s Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. We are committed to preventing the occurrence of human rights violations along our supply chain to the best of our ability, detecting any such instances as early as possible and taking immediate action if and when we become aware of these. It is with this in mind that SALESIANER works tirelessly to develop and expand its programme to secure its supply chain as a key part of its sustainability commitment.
