Together for Ukraine: Cross-border aid project successfully concluded

In June, a joint humanitarian aid campaign by the SALESIANER Group was successfully carried out. From the central warehouse in St. Pölten, 22 pallets of textiles were made available for the war-affected regions of Ukraine.

The operation was made possible by close cooperation between the countries within the SALESIANER Group. Whilst the textiles came from Austria, the SALESIANER Slovakia team coordinated liaison with the Ukrainian Embassy in Bratislava and other local partners. Together with the Slovak Catholic Caritas, the relief supplies were transported by lorry to Kharkiv, where the aid is urgently needed.

As a token of appreciation for the aid provided, a joint meeting was subsequently held between representatives from Austria, Slovakia and Ukraine. In addition to expressing gratitude for the support, the meeting focused on the successful cross-border cooperation and its contribution to providing rapid and unbureaucratic aid.

This initiative demonstrates how much can be achieved when colleagues from different countries work together and take responsibility.
