SALESIANER supports the ETSA recycling initiative

The SALESIANER Group is participating in a European recycling project led by the ETSA (European Textile Services Association). Together with Alsco, Bardusch, CWS, MEWA, and Lindström, end-of-life rental textiles are collected and given a high-quality second life. In Poland, the textiles are processed into insulation mats, providing them with a new, functional use.

The project aims to strengthen collaboration within the European rental textile sector on end-of-life processes, increase the use of recycling capacities, and enhance the environmental impact of textile recycling across Europe. Through coordinated processes and clearly defined material flows, the initiative demonstrates that cross-sector cooperation is an effective lever for a functioning circular economy.

Rental textiles are designed for a long service life and withstand many cycles of washing, repair, and use. Professional care, structured collection, sorting, and recycling processes ensure that textiles can be meaningfully reused at the end of their lifecycle. With this initiative under the ETSA umbrella, the European rental textile sector is setting a clear example of partnership, resource efficiency, and practical circular solutions.
