SALESIANER raises the SDG flag – for a sustainable future
September 25 marks SDG Flag Day – a global action day to highlight the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. SALESIANER is fully committed to these goals and demonstrates in its latest Sustainability Report 2024/2025 how responsibility is put into practice.
As a leading provider of textile management in Austria as well as Eastern and Southeastern Europe, SALESIANER focuses on a resource-saving circular economy, energy-efficient processes, and social fairness. Key achievements include:
-
CO₂ reduction: Investments in modern technologies, optimized procurement, and efficient logistics reduced the corporate carbon footprint by 11% compared to the previous year, and CO₂ emissions per kilogram of laundry by 2%.
-
Circular economy: Over 75% of discarded textiles are now reused or recycled – an increase of 36% – contributing to a 5% reduction in waste compared to the previous year.
-
Social responsibility: SALESIANER promotes equal opportunities, diversity, and safe working conditions for over 3,500 employees. Workplace accidents, for example, were reduced by 36%.
By raising the SDG flag at its headquarters in Vienna, SALESIANER sends a clear signal for sustainable business – today and for generations to come.
